what is the best way to keep breadmaker bread fresh?

Is there something that I can keep it in on the counter that will help keep it fresh?? I like the fact that there are no preservatives in my breadmaker bread but I guess this is the price you pay. 3-4 days in a plastic bag and it starts to go mouldy. I am thinking of slicing it and putting it in the freezer. Thank you for your answers. I did have the bread in a plastic ziploc bag. It was not stale but was starting to go mouldy in 3 (maybe 4) days

  1. I always freeze what we don't use right away and take it out and thaw it on the kitchen counter when I want to use it again.
  2. i would put it in a plstic zip lock bag so air wouldn't get to it to make it stail
  3. I have had this trouble too. Nuke it for 10 seconds on high and put it in a paper bag, which itself is in a plastic bag. It'll keep moist for a week, perhaps too moist. Remove from plastic if you want drier bread. I have noticed that paper retards molds in that it absorbs some of the moisture emitted by the food.
