I have followed my breadmaker instructions exactly and stil end up with doughy bread that cannot be eaten?
I just cannot seem to make good bread! I have followed all the instructions very, very carefully and yet still I always end up with doughy bread. Please can anyone help me. I am using a Morphy Richards breadmaker.

- If the bread is doughy then it either has not enough flour or it is not baking long enough. Try adusting the lenght of baking time or temperature.
- You may be over working the bread, also dont tear the bread when you kneading it that will rip the gluten strands and ruin it.
- Ive got a Morphy Richards breadmaker and ive always had perfect bread, just a thought, are you using the right yeast (quick dried) ?? and bread flour??!! Also they have different settings for making/baking different loaves, if its on the wrong setting you wont get good bread. My mate bought one a month ago, she said her bread was inedible, turns out she was using the wrong flour! Theres a trouble shooting guide in the instruction book too, have you checked/read that??
- Try adding an extra 1 quarter of a cup of flower
- its undercooked, bakes it at a higher temp, 400 for 35 minutes
- i am not sure what is wrong with your bread maker ,but it is much easier to make bread by hand and much better quality. it will mixed , kneaded in less than 20 mins,
- Hi I have a bread maker and i hate it it never makes good bread i have tried everything and it doesn't make bread like i can make just in a tomato juice can that is how my mom taught me . My bread maker was a gift and i was told it is easy but it was not and i don't think it was any easier than just making the bread and baking it . That is fun and it smells so good . So I dropped mine off at the land fill Happy baking
